Aliaswire Unveils Invoicing, Payments Offering

Payments company Aliaswire has debuted new invoicing and payments capabilities for manufacturers and distributors using its DirectBiller platform.

According to a Thursday (June 30) news release, these features are designed to meet the needs of B2B customer relations and transactions in manufacturing and distribution.

“The B2B ecosystem is trying to move away from paper-based processes and payment methods to digital workflows that speed the flow of funds between trading partners and enhance visibility into cash flow and partner payment status,” the Vermont-based company said.

However, this shift has been hindered by the intricacy of B2B customer relationships, where there is often a high degree of customization in products and services, and pricing and payment terms can swing widely from customer to customer.

“Multi-page/item invoices, line-item disputes, credit memos, pre-set credit limits, and convenience payment fees are very common aspects that must be accounted for in the move to digital invoicing and payment,” Aliaswire said.

DirectBiller, which is offered through the company’s bank partners, manages the end-to-end process from invoicing through payment reconciliation, integrating with business ERP systems and their banks’ treasury management systems.

The platform can pull, present and manage complex B2B invoice data from different sources, incorporating disputes, credit memos and daily net settlement of surcharge and convenience fees, Aliaswire said.

In addition, DirectBiller offers Request-for-Pay via the RTP network, which the company said lets customers manage their credit levels and assure timely deliveries.

Earlier this month, Alias wire joined forces with ACH payments platform Phixius to let financial institutions, FinTechs, and businesses with a small volume of ACH transactions comply with Nacha’s WEB Debit Account Validation Rule.

The companies said Phixius by Nacha offers efficient, safe exchanges and verification of payment-related information over its peer-to-peer network, while Aliaswire gives lower-volume ACH access to Phixius to verify account and routing numbers on ACH payments.
