Bank of America, Grubhub Offer Food Delivery Perks to Cardholders 







Bank of America and Grubhub have teamed up to offer the bank’s eligible cardholders a free one-year membership to Grubhub+, saying they seek to provide savings to cardholders and new customers to the food ordering and delivery marketplace.

With the membership, eligible Bank of America cardholders can buy with no delivery fee on orders of $12 or more and receive other perks from restaurants on Grubhub, according to a Thursday (Aug. 18) press release.

“Giving our clients Grubhub+ free for a year is just one of the ways we’re helping them navigate their finances and make every dollar go farther,” Bank of America Social Media and Rewards Executive Chris Curtin said in the release.

Those eligible for the offer include Bank of America debit, credit and small business cardholders who are not already Grubhub+ members, while cardholders who are not eligible can receive $5 off their next three orders of $15 or more, according to the press release.

“This is truly a win-win, with Bank of America now rewarding cardholders with deals and perks from restaurants they will love, and Grubhub tapping into Bank of America’s loyal and vast customer base to drive even more orders to restaurant owners and drivers,” Grubhub Vice President of Loyalty Launika Raykar said in the release.

The announcement comes about six weeks after Grubhub and Amazon reported that Amazon Prime members in the U.S. will receive a free one-year membership to Grubhub+.

“Amazon has redefined convenience with Prime, and we’re confident this offering will expose many new diners to the value of Grubhub+ while driving more business to our restaurant partners and drivers,” Grubhub CEO Adam DeWitt said in a statement at the time.
