Visa has announced three new perks for holders of some consumer credit cards, according to a press release emailed to PYMNTS.
The new benefit offerings consist of special deals involving Birmingham, Alabama-based grocery delivery service Shipt, online learning service Skillshare and live-music promoter Sofar Sounds. Visa stated in a news release announcing the new perks that the level of benefits will vary according to the type of card a customer has.
Shipt serves 5,000 U.S. cities and delivers goods from more than 130 retailers, including Target, CVS, Bed Beth & Beyond and others, Visa’s announcement states. The benefits range from one month of free membership — 12 months usually costs $99 per year — to up to three years of free membership, and at all levels free delivery for orders of $35 or more.
Skillshare, according to Visa, offers more than 30,000 classes and has about 13 million members. Courses cover areas including illustration, design, photography and video. Visa cardholders can get membership discounts.
Sofar Sounds helps arrange live concerts in atypical locations. Certain Visa cardholders will be eligible for free tickets or early access to tickets.
Sofar states on its website that it is “a global community for artists and audiences to come together in unique and welcoming spaces — with an added element of surprise — to share, discover, create and, hopefully make a friend or find their new favorite band along the way. Today, Sofar Sounds is a community of thousands of artists, hosts, fans, travelers and more, putting on hundreds of secret, intimate events per month, across 325 cities around the world.”
“We’re always looking to bring diverse and desirable experiences to Visa cardholders in ways that help create value in how they shop every day,” Brian Cole, head of product for North America at Visa, said in a prepared statement. “These new benefit providers enhance our refreshed credit benefits portfolio to deliver special access for Visa consumer credit cardholders.”
